A new book featuring fascinating tales about the 'Taupo Country'. In his 40 years in Taupo, Ralph Ward developed a broad understanding of the district's history. His articles, first published in the 1950s and early 60s in the Taupo Times, are wide-ranging covering early Maori history, accounts by early European visitors to Taupo, the origin of many local place names and much more.
Ralph's son Gerard and his wife Marion have edited these stories and produced a delightful, well-priced book. All profits from sales go the Friends of the Museum to fund future publications.
