How to Book An Exhibition

We maintain a diverse, interesting and high quality programme in our art gallery which is available to hire for usually a month in duration by solo artists or groups of artists.

The art gallery has white painted walls and measures 9 x 12m = 108 square metres, with 39 lineal metres of hanging space. It can can be set up in a variety of ways to display all forms of art work from painting to sculpture. It is a popular venue and is often booked 12 months ahead.

About the Art Gallery

Four large mobile units, each measuring 1800mm L x 620mm D x 2470mm H, may be used to add an additional 19 lineal metres of hanging space. They can also be used to create separate spaces within the gallery. A range of other plinths are also available for use.

  • The high stud and raftered ceiling is ideal for suspending installation art.
  • A continuous Webster picture hanging system surrounds the space at a height of 2.4 metres.
  • Lighting consists of wall washers and Aureol spots.
  • A sound system operates in the gallery allowing for both music and microphone use. A flatscreen TV can be set up in the gallery to play DVDs to accompany an exhibition.
  • The museum's kitchen is equipped with platters, plates, glasses etc. We can organise your opening, or are happy to assist if you wish to make your own catering arrangements.
