Taupo Athletics
The Taupo Athletics Club is proud to call Owen Delany Park home.
Athletics teaches the core skills of running, jumping and throwing.
Over the summer months club nights are held on Thursdays from 5.30pm sharp, and the park is open for training at other times.
Season commences: 3pm first week of Term 4 and ends mid-March
Venue: Owen Delany Park, No. 1 field
Day & Time: Thursday nights - 5 pm.
Cost: For the 2008/09 season cost was $30 per child
The Taupo Athletics Club is predominantly a children’s club for 5 to 14 year olds, although a senior club is emerging as the older children grow up.
During the 2008/09 season there were 130 members, mostly in the 7-9 age group.
A coaching programme for competition work is being developed for the new season.
