Taupo Summer Concert

The Taupo Summer Concert, featuring international rock bands The Doobie Brothers and Little River Band, will be held on Waitangi weekend at the Taupo Amphitheatre.

With performances spanning the seventies and eighties until today, The Doobie Brothers have enjoyed broad appeal, with hits such as 'Listen to the Music', 'Long Train Running' and 'What a Fool Believes' and many more.  Little River Band has also had chart success through the last three decades - with classics including 'Cool Change',  'The Other Guy' and 'Take it Easy On Me' - and is often considered to be one of Australia's most significant bands.

A special number of pre release tickets have been made available to local Taupo people at $79 at the I-site in town.

Ticket Sales are available through Ticketek - www.ticketek.co.nz - General Admission $89.00 plus booking fees

Children under 11 years are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a ticket holder.

Gates open at 12noon, the concert commences from 1pm.  Little River Band will start at 3pm, The Doobie Brothers at 5pm with the concert finishing at 6.30pm.

A range of quality food, beer and wine will be on sale at the event.  Concert-goers are also able to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
