AC Baths is home to a number of Clubs who enjoy the use of the Pools all year round.   New membership is always welcome!

Taupo Amateur Swimming Club

AC Baths is a home base for the Taupo Swim Club. The club caters for children ranging in ages from 8 to 16 years and promotes competitive swimming within a fun and social atmosphere.  Founded in 1964 with an inaugural membership of 12, and grown today of 35+.  The Club is one of 15 local clubs which make up the Swim Bay of Plenty Region.

The sport of swimming has many benefits, including the people you and your swimmer(s) will meet.  The camaraderie among swimmers is unique, many swimming buddies become lifelong friends.  Swimming also provides one of the most beneficial forms of exercise for cardiovascular and total fitness.

Perhaps the greatest benefits of participating in an organised swim program are the life skills your child will develop.  These skills include time management, co-operation, sportsmanship and excellent self-discipline.  Your child will reap the benefits of swimming long after their participation ends.  Most swimmers go on to be very successful and productive adults largely due to the life skills they gained from swimming.

Remember, not every swimmer becomes a world record holder, but everyone gains from their swimming experience.
