It is important to AC Baths to minimise our energy costs and maximise our enviromental sustainability.
AC Baths recycles its waste products.
Use of Mythra pool liner throughout our pools rather than tiles results in 30% less energy and 25% less CO2 emissions involved in their manufacture and construction.
Other energy conservation measures include variable speed drives on air volume fans and control of pumps.
Geothermal energy is used to heat our pools and hot water to showers as well as supplying heat to a sports stadium next door through a heat transfer system.

Welcome to the AC Baths, we hope you will enjoy your visit to us. We believe in protecting our environment and want to ensure that is stays the same for future generations to enjoy. Our sustainability will be an ongoing journey which should improve with time and experience. In order to achieve this we ask you to join us in our pledge.
Staff are actively encouraged to reduce waste by recycling. If you wish to separate your waste this would help our staff in the recycling process.
Staff always endeavor to turn off lights and equipment when not required.
We actively take part in sustainability audits run by Environment Waikato.
Conserve water by taking shorter showers and turning taps off when not required.
To think before we buy - we buy locally and order in bulk whenever possible. We reuse or recycle before buying new.
To think before we discard - we recycle as much waste as possible.
Our business will train and inform staff so they can actively participate in helping our environmental sustainability.
We donate unwanted items to local schools and charities.
